Introducing -Travis Martin

Me and aspiring model Travis Martin made some magic today.

I have been passing this area filled with old cars for sometime now and I have been just waiting to find the right person to throw on top of them... Well looks that Travis was the man. (Smiles) It was definitely one hell of an experience seeing as though you can get the police called on you for even walking out the house with a camera around here! But I knew in order to get some good shots I had to tune that out and make sure the model wasn't aware of this (Smirks).

Over all Travis was easy to work with and helped me bring my vision to light. I feel that the shots that we got where simple yet mysterious in some ways. Which was what I was going for. So at the end of the day I guess I can say that. Standing on top of rusty unstable cars and laying in bird shit was all worth it!!!

Lasting Connection

Well the connection is still there! DeVonne and me came together and really created magic once again! It feels so good to know that every photographer comes across that one model who they really enjoy shooting and are inspired by. And it feels good to be secure in knowing that the connection will always be fresh and interesting. I have yet to come across a model who can magnify my vision and trust my opinion the way Devonne does. And from that connection comes the magic! I am the Foreigner and he is my translator and through him my vision becomes clear.

This is my fav. from our session. We had a lot of fun out there that day!!! And we almost got killed by an oncoming train. Thinking back on it, it would have been really nice if we could have got that shot but my camera decided that it would die! Oh well I feel the shots that we have are GREAT.

Style ( Here's where mines begins)

I have been working really hard to find out and harness what it is that makes my work unique. or what I can do that will make my work stand out and unique. One of the scariest things for me right now is the ideal of blending in with the endless sea of just OK or GOOD photographers.

I have been working on some ideas and working harder to understand my self and how to translate the ideas I have inside and extend those in front of the lens... Tomorrow will mark my first day of my make-over. I will be shooting more location in the coming months and working more with available light since my resources are extremely limited.

The first day of the new me will be launched by non other than my muse DeVonne. I am a little nervous but I will make sure to get back to you on how that goes.

Back stabbers

I have come to realize within my short time within this industry that there are a lot of lieing and cheating people within it that will do anything to get where they feel is "AHEAD".

I think what is most important to remember for people who have trampled others and their names at the expense of their own work is...

Even though it you feel as though you have triumphed at someone Else's expense. You NEVER escape your past and it will come back for you when you least expect it. So thread lightly especially when it is on someones Else's hopes and dreams.
